Digital Info Security Company Announces Hosted Security Management Service for Encrypted Removable Devices
DISC expands solution portfolio with the addition of managed password security services
Westminster, CO - March 3, 2009
Digital Info Security Company (Pink OTC Markets: DGIF) (DISC) today announced it will be launching its hosted Secure Vault Manager on March 24, 2009. The launch of Secure Vault Manager coincides with the signing of a reseller agreement with ENCRYPTX Corporation, a leading provider of data security and policy management solutions for removable storage devices. The agreement enables DISC to provide powerful encryption and administrative management solutions to its comprehensive information security product portfolio.
DISC Secure Vault Manager is a premier hosted management service that will be introduced in two versions. The consumer/small business version will be designed to protect against lost passwords and lost devices, while the enterprise version will allow organizations to have full visibility over employee access to confidential information in use throughout the organization.
DISC Secure Vault will provide hosted password management for encrypted removable device or media using ENCRYPTX DeviceDefender™, SecurFlash®, SecurDataStor® and SecurWrap®.
A secure online management tool, DISC Secure Vault Manager protects a user or an organization against lost or forgotten passwords and enables an administrator to remotely and dynamically revoke user access for encrypted email, files, folders and devices. "Our goal is to offer a simple, economic service to help users avoid losing access to their data by conveniently managing their passwords," said James Clark, DISC Chairman & CEO. "Businesses of any size can add increased data security to their encrypted content."
This new service will greatly enhance DISC's email compliance and remote data backup services and will expand current solution offerings for new and existing clients. Together these product suites provide a complete corporate data protection solution to meet HIPAA, SOX, GLBA and other regulatory compliance laws.
The reseller agreement adds the full line of ENCRYPTX encryption, digital rights management and security management solutions to DISC's portfolio of data compliance products. ENCRYPTX products have been protecting consumers, enterprise and government devices and media for nearly a decade. Over 20 million drives have been sold worldwide with ENCRYPTX security products from leading manufacturers and ENCRYPTX products are used commercially by thousands of corporate users. The ENCRYPTX line includes:
- DeviceDefender™ and SecurFlash® - Powerful device control and automatic encryption of USB removable devices.
- SecurDataStor® or SecurWrap® - Provides secure file and folder level encryption, allowing users to share files through email, on CDs/DVDs, on USB devices or on network drives.
'The reseller agreement between our two companies makes sense,' commented David Duncan, founder and president of ENCRYPTX. "Sales channels are broadened while the SMB (small-to-medium business) market gains a much needed hosted management solution to further control and monitor sensitive data on the go."
